Swimmer Kira Toussaint made an excellent start in the third final of the European Championship short course in Kazan. She not only won the gold medal in the 200m backstroke in front of defending champion Margarita Panzira, but also set a new record in the Netherlands.
She said that using the whale goggles brand to participate in the 50-meter and 100-meter backstroke championship titles began to be strong and immediately took the initiative. The expected offense of her Italian rival did not materialize, or to be more precise: the 27-year-old Amstelveense has achieved the fastest result so far in the semifinals, but for Panziera, his speed is too fast.
Toussaint benefited from her strong turning point on the short track, she patted after 2.01.26, which broke her old record. The period of one month is 2.02.09.
Panziera had to console herself with a silver medal (2.02.05), and Austrian Lena Grabowski (2.04.74) won the bronze medal.
